Good Job Mills Middle School!! Recently, Mills Middle School and Mitchell Middle School competed against each other for our 2nd annual Nike shoe drive. Mills and Mitchell Middle Schools had only one week to gather up as many shoes as possible! The goal of the shoe drive was to teach students the importance of recycling. When all the shoes had been gathered and counted, Mills Middle School had gathered 2,500 shoes while Mitchell Middle School only gathered 700, thus declaring Mills the winner of the shoe drive competition. Amazing concept! John Varvatos celebrated the launch of his Bowery NYC store concept at Holt Renfrew in Montreal on Wednesday, complete with a live performance by Montreal-based band The Stills. The Holt Renfrew shop-in-shop boasts vintage concert posters, album cover art and record-release flyers along the walls, and vintage Persian rugs and washed purple velvet curtains.
