We all remember that oh so delicious candy back in the day. That chewy, chocolate, candy that comes to mind every time I pass a convenience store; with songs after it and all – Tootsie Roll. Speaking of which, there’s a sweet little salon that is just as soothing and comfortable as the Havaiana flip flops they sell on the smooth sand of Miami Beach where they’re at. The name is Tootsie’s and there is no better word to describe them but sweet.

I promise you that here you will receive only the best and most cheerful service from any of the workers, including the owner Robert Radice and his lovely mother Stevie who is the sweetest New York-ian I’ve ever met. As soon as I walked in, I felt at home and they offered me a glass of wine or soda, and sit you down on the most comfortable chairs to wait and watch any of the DVD movies that they have, and they have a bunch!

At first, I was having trouble deciding whether Tootsie’s was a shoe store that had a nail salon, or a salon that sold flip flops. I’m still not quite sure how to place them but it doesn’t matter! Tootsie’s stocks the world renowned designer flip flops, Havaiana, and is the only Havaiana outlet that carries all their styles; it is the only brand they sell in the store. They have completed four successful years in business and have been featured in many fashion magazines and are soon to be featured in Allure this upcoming September.

They do allow walk-ins but also take appointments, and another interesting tidbit is that they sell a lot of flip flops to corporate businesses as items for gift baskets. As well as supplying fashion show models with flip flops. “We sell to a lot of businesses and fashion shows that just want a bunch of pairs in one color or style. Works great for party gifts too! Weddings, Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties, it doesn’t matter!”, says Stevie with her bright smile. So stop by for a relaxing manicure/peticure, have some wine, enjoy good conversation, and get a pair of Havaianas! Only at Tootsie’s!
