Gee WaWa-Gotta love this new comfort brand!

This specific shoe was featured in Footwear News and I can see why! It’s nice. :)

During FFANY last June, I literally was walking by the Gee WaWa booth on my way out to a meeting and I was stopped in my tracks. Something about this brand caught my eye. I ended up chatting with the sales rep who then introduced me to Jim Barnier (who then introduced me to the guys from Rough Justice, so of course he is my friend) who is the Designer and VP of Sales for the brand. The line is Brazilian manufactured and you can tell for sure. They use fine materials such as vegetable dyed leathers, calf suede and distressed leathers. Each shoe has a distict craftmanship and you can easily see the quality and feel the comfort. Each shoe has a unique padding on the bottom that keeps the foot snug and comfy.  I also have to give it to Jim because the designs definitely stand out and are fun, creative and unique. The price points are also very reasonable. You can email Jim directly at jim.barnier@laneintlusa.com to get further information.

Even the bottoms of the shoes have great detail and I love the doggie imprint!

I ran into Jim at the FFANY show again last week and ended up hanging out for a bit. We discussed everything from the WSA show dates (he’s not super happy) to how exciting and tiring it is to launch a new brand. They have only been around since 2007 and really only as of this year have they been making a push foward. Jim is a busy guy as he handles all the sales at this point and as of last week had attended 3 tradeshows in a one week span! I am surprised he was still seemingly in a pretty good mood! I was happy to see that while I was there, Jim wrote several orders and had a significant flow of traffic. I know things are not what they used to be, but it was nice that I saw people doing business on several occasions.

One of my favorite styles and so comfortable on!

There is a bit of history with the Gee WaWa brand as well. It was started by Lane Shay who was the original founder of Rocket Dog. I suppose that makes it a bit more interesting. I definitely suggest that you buyers out there check this line out next time you are at a show. Jim will be present at the upcoming Atlanta show and I am sure he will be happy to tell you all about this cool new brand.

Definitely on trend with the colors….I saw a lot of orange, jade and ruby throughout the entire show.
