Rocket Dog Brands-Great Marketing
by JULIA

rocketdogI have had the great pleasure of getting to know Andy Petersen (fun guy!)  who is the SVP of Sales for Rocket Dog Brands. The cool junior brand that I am quite sure most teen-aged girls have at least one pair in their closet and it has been that way for sometime. Their price points are low and the designs fun and youthful.  I remember my first pair of Rocket Dogs that I bought from babysitting money I made when I was only 13. My mom actually sent me a picture of them that I took where they were set on top of the box they came in, heel to heel as if it were a sign to my future calling in the footwear industry. Unfortunately I cannot find where I safely stashed the picture! :(

One of the things I noticed about Andy and why he fits great with his company is he makes a huge effort to stay on top of whats cool in technology and with the upcoming generation. He doesn’t have to look to far considering he has a teen-aged daughter who I am sure loves her dad’s job! Andy is aware that it’s all about technology and marketing directly to the consumer through facebook, You Tube etc…I recently became a fan of their facebook page and each day they send out a link to a You Tube video where they talk about their shoe pick of the week. They have close to 1800 fans and  I am sure that number is growing. Check out the video from one of there weekly pics. Great way to stay in front of the customer!! They also have a really fun website which was definitely designed with their target customer in mind. You can check it out at www.rocketdog.com. :)
