Soles4Souls August Newsletter
by JULIA
When Wayne Elsey, CEO of Soles4Souls sent me the August newsletter, I was defnitely excited to see all the great things the charity is doing this month! Obviouly they are keeping quite busy. I am looking forward to hearing an announcement Wayne will be making soon about something to do with NYC and I am especially excited about the partnership with Green Day bassist, Mike Dirnt. They have always been faves of mine and their first album was totally a soundtrack to my high school years. Exciting all around and I can’t wait for all the great things to come and congrats to the Soles4Souls team for a continued job well done!!

Fund raise with Soles4Souls

The concept was simple enough: instead of students selling vendor goods to help raise money for their clubs or sports teams or schools, why not “sell” something that is truly needed—the gift of shoes? Sportslifestyle brand PUMA® once again teamed up with Soles4Souls to encourage people across America to turn in their old shoes and donate them to the charity. From June 15th to July 12th, PUMA collected slightly worn shoes at every one of their stores across the country. In return, PUMA gave the generous donors 30% off a new pair of kicks, rallying people to give back to those in need. Learn more… |
