DJ AM aka Adam Goldstein  is the well known celebrity dj who was found dead in his NYC apartment a week ago today. He was in the process of launching a line of Nike Dunks which has now been postponed as the brand works with his family in order to work out the business details. According to TMZ (never thought I would reference them on this site!!) the line had been approved by AM before his passing. DJ AM was an avid sneaker lover with a collection of more than 700 pairs!! Nike was said to be his favorite…..At his time of death his Twitter profile pic was his Nike logo.  Hopefully Nike will work it out…the line would be a nice tribute and I am sure his fans would love it.

Another footwear connection, a couple  years ago, AM was the dj for the Steve Madden holiday party at the Maritime hotel which I had the chance to attend. It was a great party!! I was hanging out near the dj booth for a spot to sit and AM and his manager couldn’t have been nicer. Sad. My heart goes out to his family.
