The Customs and Border Protection in Norfolk, Va discovered $3.8 million pairs of fake Gucci’s during a routine inspection of arriving shipments. As one would expect the shoes were arriving from China and there were 472 cases of them!! Nice work to the CBP!!! That’s a lot of fake Gucci’s! I wonder what they do with all those shoes?? Benjamin Lovell Shoes , a retailer with 6 locations in the Philly area donated more than 100 pairs of Crocs to area kiddies. He partnered with Public Citizens for Children and Youth (PCCY) organization and volunteers to outfit the kids  and letting them run and play in a park. According to the article posted on Footwear Plus Magazine’s blog, Benjamin Lovell is no stranger to contributing to charities working with Food for Shoes, Naot’s donation program and Soles4Souls. This is a good thing!!

Lamo Footwear now owns slipper brand Oomphies and they will be available under the new company starting next month! According to the article on WSA Today, “Lamo CEO Joseph Li felt the quality of the original Oomphies was never duplicated after Oomphies moved operations to Spain and believes there is still a loyal customer base for the brand based on a lively online trade in vintage Oomphies.”

UK retailer, New Look just opened its first stand alone footwear and accessories concept with plans to test more than 10 over the upcoming months.
