Edward Scissorhands by YoaKustoms
Check out these cool kicks! The shoe artists over at Yoa Kustoms have taken Tim Burton’s character Edward Scissorhands off the screen and onto a pair of Nike’s. These custom shoes with Johnny Depp’s face have actual scars carved into it, broken mirrors for Edward’s hands, as well as added features like a leather belt as a play on the boots in the movie!
As the designer explains on its website: “The inspiration for my shoes is the Tim Burton film, Edward Scissorhands. What better to do custom-made shoes that represent a custom-made man. The pair features a striking portrait of Edward on the outside, with the scars literally cut into his flesh. The shoes are accented with an added belt buckle in the front and gold grommets in the lace holes to play on his leathery custom-made body. There is a yellow butterfly on the tongue tag, shown in many of the movie posters, which represents his delicate innocence, counter balanced by the feature of the customs, his cracked mirror scissorhands over his face and on the swoosh which are hard and sharp. The insoles and box are covered in plastic grass, which is trimmed to shimmering perfection, just as Edward cuts all the shrubs in the perfectly plastic town that eventually rejects him.”
I really love it ! This is so original and awesome, what do you think ?

Wyclef Jean Launches New Shoe Line For Haiti
Wyclef Jean has teamed with the Timberland Clothing Company to launch a new 16-piece eco-friendly shoe collection, whose profits will aid the redevelopment of Haiti. The partnership will fuse music, product and activism under the banner title of “Earthkeeping“. The Fugees founder has announced that $2 from every pair sold will go to benefit his Yele Haiti Foundation. As a Haiti goodwill ambassador, Jean established the organization in 2005 in an effort to support education, health and community development in his homeland. If the shoe are as cool as the music, I’ll buy it!

Sexy shoe showdown: four pumps to the comfort test
The Chicago Tribune decided to test (for real) 4 pairs of high heels, to determine if they were really comfortable or not abd out their claim to the test! High-end shoemaker Taryn Rose recently started advertising “comfortably sexy” shoes, andKenneth Cole store windows are boasting “The most comfortable shoes you’ll ever look good in … guaranteed.” They added a pair from Cole Haan and Naturalizer. Each of the testers took a daylong (or nightlong) spin in each pair. No cheating! Four women, four pairs of shoes, some serious pain — and surprising results. The winner is: NATURALIZER, “MAGEE” $79, that you can buy here: naturalizer.com. I say the shoebizness team should run tests like this

Crocs won’t die yet !
For months there has been much speculation that Crocs, the comfort shoe company, would stop. But PNC Financial Service Group just loaned the footwear company $30 million in a credit arrangement that should pay off within the next year, if not profit. This stands in stark contrast with Crocs’s recent history: back in 2007, shares were going for about $70 a piece, but have since plummeted, yesterday hitting a $6.65 rock bottom. Today, they’re predicting a profit in 2010.
