Rachel Zoe’s report on Brian Atwood

The famous star/stylist Rachel Zoe, is famous for styling her clients but also for her sharp eyes on fashion. She recently issued her first “Zoe report on Brian Atwood’s Lola Platforms, and it was “bananas”…  Here’s what Zoe had to say about the Atwood’s shoes:

“Atwood consistently brings my sole fantasies to life—and he has outdone himself with the Lola Platform Pumps… sexy elastic detailing and high platform—I DIE.  With fall just around the corner, these shooties are a must-have transitional piece to help you segue through the seasons. That is, they’re relevant to your summer and fall wardrobe. To the wearer, the possibilities are endless. Lola’s eighties punk-meets-luxury aesthetic will bring your little black dress to life. The pumps are also perfect for upgrading a more casual look (think: dark skinny jeans, a tee and tuxedo jacket), so don’t be scared to rock them during the day”.

Hermès “A propos de Bottes” foulard

For fall 2009, Hermès created a beautiful scarf for riding boot lovers. It’s called ” A Propos De Bottes“ which means ‘There’s something about Boots”.  I Love how this scarf respects the safari/travel-themed model, but with the glamourous touch of the luxury shoes! You can see it here, Christmas is still 2 montls away, you have time to save :)

Handmade shoes: Cherry Blossom Booties

This “Craftastrophe” booties have been lovingly hand-decorated in one of the season’s most popular colour combinations red and grey :) They are made of stretchy, comfortable fabric and the customisation makes them really special and eyecatching. Since they’re a one-off, these shoes are only available in size 7.5 but keep the idea if you fancied sprucing up some old boots of your own! $80 on Etsy.

Louboutin Manicure

Inspired by the famous Christian Louboutin’s infamous red sole, the “Louboutin Manicure” was developed by Charles Worthington salons in London. Here it how it’s work: after applying the top of the nail with the clients’ color of choice, a bright red creme is applied to the underside. The effect mimics the most common Christian Louboutin heels, all of which have black leather and scarlet soles. I’m not sure I’ll follow this trend !
