Trivia Featuring Marcelo From China!!!
by JULIA

Last week Marcelo did a great job answering my questions!
He sure is good on the trivia, let’s see who take his title…
Which shoe designer holds the most titles for designing the world’s most expensive shoes?
What two countries do brands go to the most when it comes to manufacturing?
What was the name of a Nike Documentary that focused in the lives of Sneaker Heads and their daily struggle on obtaining the hottest pair out? Hint:(Found on Youtube)
Who was the first women’s boots designed by? (some tough research to do)
And last but not least… Marcelo’s VERY tough question.
In 1991 an American footwear company – and a major brand in its segment nowadays – ditched their first program of custom-made shoes, where skateboarders could even bring their own fabric and mix it with stripes and soles to get a bad-ass sneaker. What was the name of this company back then?

Who was the first women’s boots designed by? (some tough research to do)
A: Well, I think you might be talking about the boots designed by Joseph Sparkes Hall, for England’s Queen Victoria – these are commonly referred to on the internet as the first women’s boots designed in 1840. At the same time, I challenge you on this one Erika . I don’t think that this is a question that could be answered with 100% accuracy. The earliest people to wear boots were the ancient Mesopotamians. They wore boots made from kid leather with laced closures. Between 3000-1400BC in Crete, both men and women wore calf high boots tied to their legs with thongs (Bigelow, 1970 p37). Since then we can find records of boots being worn by women trough out the centuries. Kind of hard to date when/where/by whom exactly the first women’s boots were designed, right? I love this thing
I can;t answer my qyestion right? that one I’d know the answer for sue! ha ha
