TOM Shoes, If the shoe fits – share it!

There is a new generation of shoe addicts out there: the generation of the conscious shoe-aholics who shop with style and substance. They want to buy from companies with a conscious to match their spending power to their beliefs.  They are demanding environmentally friendly, animal friendly and sustainable shoes. And most of all they are looking for Their Sole Mates.

TOM Shoes was founded on a simple premise: With every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. One for One. Using the purchasing power of individuals to benefit the greater good is what we’re all about. TOMS Shoes not only sells stylish, organic slip-ons, slippers and flats but also a way to ensure that their dollars reflect their values. The shift in the global marketplace is a shift to supporting companies that are charitable and philanthropic. TOMS Shoes makes businesses support the shoe addiction, protect the environment, enhance the quality of life for the communities they support and promote social justice.

This new generation of customers is all about charity, philanthropy, generosity and social justice and they are willing to spend with a purpose. They expect their dollars to contribute to a culture that shares, gives, creates, collaborates and is engaged it the purpose of building a conscious marketplace.

Poor Guy Spends 12.5 Hours With His Girlfriend In Line For Jimmy Choos

This weekend, shoe-lovers around the world went crazy for a new line of shoes from Jimmy Choos being sold at H&M. Well, everyone except me, because I (very angrily) discovered that there is NO H&M in Miami…Of course shoppers spent hours and hours in line before midnight, and in England, Will Cubberley, who will probably never stop getting teased by his friends, after UK’s The Daily Mail reported that he spent 12.5 hours in line with his girlfriend. Maybe he wont be so mad when he will discover that the shoes were being sold on eBay for twice that much. That’s $133 in profit for 12 hours of waiting, which is not great, but at the same time, it’s better than nothing! Read full article here.
