Please Help Haiti – by Anedie Azael (one of my best friends)

Proof of Anedie’s hard work….she is an inspiration!

I am sure you have seen Anedie make many appearances on this site. She is a beautiful model whose inner beauty matches that of her outer. She has been in every single one of my fashion shows and has always been so much fun to be with. She in fact, is traveling with me to MAGIC next month to help me out with the promotion of shoebizness. She is nothing short of wonderful! Anedie has always talked about her home country of Haiti and how much she loves it there, especially the people. In fact, she was in a show of mine this past December and all she was talking about was returning home for the holidays and how much fun she was going to have. Anedie only returned from her home a few days prior to the earthquake. So you can imagine the horror I felt when I saw the news. Thankfully her immediate family was okay, but I knew that was only a slight relief as the devastating reports began to roll in.

I spoke with Anedie today, to find out that she has been working around the clock to help her country. She asked me if I would help get the word out because they desperately need money in order to support the costs to fly planes with supplies to Haiti. I asked her to write me a little something about her and her situation and I ask you to find it in your heart to help my friend help her country. I can’t imagine wanting to help anyone as much as I would like to help her knowing what a good person she is.  It is so wonderful to see all the people who are coming together to help Haiti….but we need to do even more!!

My name is Anedie Azael, I am a 21 year old model and college student and I am from Haitian descent. I moved to Miami 5 years ago but  I have family in Haiti that are relieing on help from others for food, medical aide, water, and shelter. I am putting my all energy into  helping my people, one people  as a humanitarian duty. I had to drop out this semester from school, and put my modeling career on hold for a bit  so I can work during the day.  I am trying to do everything in my power to get help to the people of Haiti.

Since this catastrophe I have contacted and joined organizations such as www.HaitiAid.org, www.AllForHaiti.org, www.cleantheworld.org, www.COHEF.org, Medishares and many more.  I have engulfed myself  in trying to send help over there. Right now, there are 1000 orphans that are in need and I simply cannot do enough on my own. There are restaurants in PAP, Haiti that have limited supplies and they are trying to provide for as many people as possible, but it is not enough. I have my personal friend who is the CEO of FlightStar company with the FAA and he has confirmed he has clearance for planes to land in Haiti which that has been a problem for some, but I CAN get clearance! My friend from the FAA found me planes that can land at no cost, but I need to provide the fuel for those planes. That is where I am stuck. As some may know, plane fuel is VERY expensive and I need help collecting money to buy the fuel and send those planes to help the people.

Another problem they are facing in my country is the distribution process. When goods land in the airports, they put them in a warehouse and these goods never get to the people. I have a solution for that as well, my Father (Eddy Azael) who is a business men in the automotive industry,  has containers that can go to the airport and receive those goods and then get them to the people. He has the man power and security personnel. He can receive and distribute!!!

Another problem is all the other cities, such as Jacmel, Cap Haitien, Leogane, Gonaives and many more are not getting enough help. Mostly everything is going to the capital Port-Au-Prince. All these cities are affected just as bad as PAP. I need to send the planes that I have access to there and I have the opportunity if I have the funds.

I have an uncle who is Doctor in Jacmel, Dr. Gerald Bertrand, who lost his house, clinic and pharmacy. I need to send him supplies so he can help the people of Jacmel.

Please whoever wants to help can donate to one of the organizations that I am involved with, preferably www.haitiaid.org as  they are receiving donations on my behalf to go towards the planes. Please mention PLANES in your donations, and from drop down menu: general aid. Please I need the help. I am more then willing to give anyone more information and you can contact me personally. If you want to make sure you know where your donations are going, it will be my pleasure to provide that information for you. To be honest I have donated myself but I can’t afford to give anything anymore. I can’t do it alone, please help so I can get help to the people in need.

Please find in your hearts and as a humanitarian duty to give help to the ones in need.

Thank you,
Anedie Azael
