The Italian brand Fratelli Rossetti stuck to their roots for spring ’10. Check the Women’s Spring preview, it’s a classic collection which ranges from sandals and platform heels to ballet flats including suede and hammered leathers. The collection is carried in Fratelli Rossetti boutiques, as well as Zappos.com. Congrats for them! The preview is awesome, can’t wait to see the whole collection…
The New York-based Upper Echelon Shoes founded by Seth Campbell has entered a partnership with Steven Madden Ltd. It’s a big change for UES. “We’re both New Yorkers; we see things the same way,” said Steve Madden. The first joint collection will debut at FFANY next month, with a larger unveiling set for FN Platform on Feb. 16. That’s so exciting! Success and rock it out!
After a couple of bad years Brazil’s footwear industry is optimistic. The Brazilian shoe sector is waiting for the final ruling regarding dumping claims against Chinese footwear. Brazil is also getting together with Argentina to assess bilateral to plan the next steps to keep improving trade relations. Argentina is the second most important market for the Brazilian footwear.
Gregg Duffy has been named the newest senior director of performance footwear for Timberland Co., the company announced yesterday. He previously worked for brands including Puma and Saucony and will be responsible for the brand’s entire performance portfolio, including hiking, multi-sport and other seasonal offerings.
