Let’s join the klub…

Julia met our friend Kelley Lehner owner of Klub Nico at SMOTA a  while back and featured her in one of her first articles here on shoebizness and out of  so many  people and brands that Julia introduced me  to, Kelly   was one that I truly enjoyed meeting and talking to.  Not only because she is beautiful and speaks Portuguese with an amazing ‘carioca’ accent, but also because she is fascinated by the Brazilian culture and that’s makes me feel so full of joy. Kelly is the owner and the designer of the fabulous brand Klub Nico Footwear which has about four and half years old. When people ask why she decided to become a designer of shoes,  her answer is short and sweet: “I’ve always loved shoes and accessories.”  Well, to me it shows and when we ran into her at FFANY in NYC it seemed like she was very busy! Her new line looks great and I would imagine it will be a success!!

 After traveling to Brazil and living there many years and working in marketing and advertising, Kelly came back to the States and decided  to launch her own line of  ladies shoes and her first collection was definitely a success! People just loved it and then the second one did even better… So now with 3 or 4 very contemporary collections per year with about 40 styles each, Klub Nico offers it’s customers footwear inspired by the modern women with attitude, sophistication, fun, sensuality and free will, just like the Brazilians do…
