Sharon Esau = Awesome!

Sharon Esau = Awesome!

Me, Sharon, Julia

So Julia has these pair of boots from KORK-EASE that Julia refuses to take off. I wouldn’t either, they’re cute, comfy and stylish. So you know we had to stop at their booth at FN Platform. At the KORK-EASE booth we met Sharon Esau the Sales Manager for H.H. Browns, Kork-Ease and Vintage Shoe Company. She is definitely extroverted and immediately we felt like we had known her forever!  She joked about being able to wear the men’s sample size instead of women’s as Julia (like at every other booth) tried on every shoe in her display. We knew we had made a new friend in Sharon, she was fun, receptive and friendly.

Kork-Ease sneaks! Love them!

As we got to know her a little better and Sharon shared a little of KORK-EASE ‘s story with us. KORK-EASE is based in Pennsylvania and all of their footwear is made in the USA with vachetta leathers and dyes that have less chemicals than standard dyes in the industry. They also actually created the wedge more than half a century ago! Who knew? Sharon did, haha! Kork-Ease is a brand with a lot of history and I certainly enjoyed learning about it. Shoes made from a plant is pretty amazing.

Kork!

Julia modeling Vintage Shoe…love it!

These were Julia’s favorite!

Sharon also shared with us that fashion military boots are the new hit and Vintage Shoe Company does them right with their version. I say this because Julia, who is very picky about her shoes fell in love with them. The designs, were feminine with a military edge and a kick-back to the early 90′s which we know is making it’s way onto the streets these days.   The retail price ranges from $200-$335.

We saw Sharon a couple of times throughout our time at the show and she always greeted us with a big smile, especially when we showed up in Julia’s paper dresses! I think she even took a couple pictures of us!! I really hope that we run into her again soon and hope that she has a great year, because she clearly deserves it!!
