“VIOLET TASH”
Exceptionality is what makes it so especial.
While at the FFANY, I made my way up to the 38th floor at the Flat Hotel and there was “VIOLET TASH”. I kind of stumbled onto it, because was a bit hidden on the right corner of the floor. There I met Violet Tash. Yes! That’s the name of the owner/designer as well. Her name is artsy and creative already, no wonder she used it to brand her company. “We eagerly wanted to bring shoe manufacturing back to the U.S. market,” she told us proudly.
Based in Sun Valley, California (what a cute city!),“VIOLET TASH” launched its first collection less than a year ago. It offers beautiful shoes carefully and beautifully handmade, designed using lots of interesting wood bottoms, metal, nail heads and other unconventional materials giving each shoe style, character and charm. Check out the details! The hand carved patterns on wood wedge bottoms take a lot of time to create and no one will have the same pair. Sometimes even the left foot isn’t exactly symmetric to the right one. “We love to make each shoe as unique as possible”, says Violet.
Their clients have the knowledge of good style and definitely follow current trends. Girls and ladies who like excitement are the perfect customers. Considering that they‘re manufactured in the U.S. and are all leather, the price point isn’t expensive at all, about $180 to $250 retail. Anyone who wants to see the collection can email Violet at violettash_9@hotmail.com to get a line sheet. The website will be available shortly.
It was a pleasure to meet you, Violet and learn about your collection. Exceptionality is what makes it so especial. Congrats and lots of success!
