Japanese TV Show to Feature Italian Shoemakers

This summer, “Made in Italy” is making its way to Japan. Due to the growing popularity of ladies’ Italian footwear in the Japanese market, The Jupiter Shop Channel in Tokyo has invited Italian Shoemakers sales executive Charles Podesta to be a guest speaker on a May 3 live TV broadcast.

“The simple elegance of our shoes transcends borders,” Podesta said. “We are so excited to share our vision of affordable, hand-made Italian shoes with women across the globe, and we are thrilled by the response we are getting from Japan.”

Jupiter Shop Channel is similar to U.S. channels QVC and HSN, in which TV viewers can purchase products that are featured on air. During the show, Podesta will talk about Italian Shoemakers’ 28-year history, its diverse lines that include Luisa D’Orio Damiani’s and Tirrenia, and the company’s innovative process that allows it to keep prices affordable, among other things. “I might even make some risotto on air,” he said.

From its headquarters in Miami, Italian Shoemakers serves the American, European, Asian and Oceanic markets. The company’s design team and factory are located in Tuscany.
