Hiring, Hiring, Hiring!
Guess whose hiring this time??? Me! 
As you all know, I have been in NYC for a couple of months now and things are going absolutely wonderful! I am doing so many fun and exciting things…and I knew the city would bring the opportunity for me to do! To get you up to speed, here is what I am in the process of doing:
1. I am now a Brand Consultant for a high-end fashion wholesaler based out of New Jersey. I am responsible for basically being the match.com for awesome brands (apparel, footwear and shoes) and retailers they would do well in. The wholesale company I work for is well funded and has the capital to purchase in large quantities which allows us to sell to retailers at a lower cost and we don’t enforce minimum purchase requirements so they don’t have to be as concerned about left over inventory. It is the PERFECT job for me and I am having the best time so far!! It is a win/win for both the brands and the retailers and I am so happy to be a part!
2. I am beginning to work on the next Julia Veli line and will be debuting a design specifically for DSW and 210 at the 210 YP industry party on June 9 during FFANY…again…so exciting and so much fun! I am going to be debuting a whole collection that will be inturpretted into a ready to wear line sometime before the end of the year, so I will keep you posted on that!
3. I will be focusing on growing the audience and categories for Shoebizness.com and am going to be collaborating with some amazing people to accomplish this. For now, over the next few weeks, you will find new writers and more content. I know I have said this before, but I will have the support to help me do this, so this time I mean it!!
So…..basically I am looking for 2-3 post grad fashion candidates who are interested in being a part of an extremely exciting group of businesses that will all certainly lead to future opportunities. The job description for these candidates will be to basically network, meet people, research brands, and basically provide support for me and the team I am working with. The positions will have exposure to buying, selling, merchandising, writing and many other areas of the industry. If I was just coming out of school, this would be a dream job! The compensation will be a base + commission structure and will offer full benefits along with additional perks. I am looking for hungry, ambitious, positive individuals to be a part of this amazing opportunity!
