J75 by JUMP
by Richard Salmon

The first day I arrived at FFaNY I couldn’t wait to go visit Ken and Kevan with J75 by Jump. I love these sneakers! The shoes keeps getting better and better, that can only mean that Ken and Kevan have been WORKING!! I mean the styles are hotter then the previous season.

The female sneakers are more feminine with just an extra touch. They added a small strap over the lace which finishes up with a small classy buckle.

Even the men styles got better. The silk leather just makes the shoes so classy and looks like no other. One of a kind! It doesn’t stop here, they came out with this new rose gold collection, that kills the game.

Back to the boys. When I first met them during Magic in Vegas, they had just came out with J75 (in October 2009) so they were very excited as it was their first J75 Tradeshow. Now, they are pros. Their booth was filled with love and of course people. While Ken was helping retailers find their perfect shoes, Kevan was giving Rich and I a little tour of the new stuff and a little story of how he got into the shoe business, as Key Account Specialist for J75.

In 1984, even before I was born, Ken and Kevan were working together at Wild Pair, where they bought from Jump. Judy, who makes the trio to J75 and Kevan’s wife, used to also sell to Wild Pair in 1984, and that is when and how they all met and stuck together since. So they knew Harry Chen, who is the CEO of Jump and had a great relationship with him. One day, all three got together to create J75 and decided they should launch the new brand concept with Harry; and there you have it, the creation of J75.

They also have this new collection that looks like updated bowling shoes. They have the sneakers and they have the classy look for a professional going to work or just a nice dinner or party. They cover it all. Check it out:

Those shoes are classy at the same time sassy, just like the boys. They are already sold on Amazon.com, in limited Journeys stores, Finish Line and many more independent retailers. Keep checking on Shoebizness.com to find out about their limited edition shoes that will only be sold at Underground Station Starting fall 2010. Sorry cannot reveal the shoe… YET, but all I can say is that it is HOTTTTT!!! I can not wait for it to come out. Watch out as Ken and Kevan take over. Ken will be at SMOTA (Shoe Market of The Americas) in Miami Beach convention center ( June 27- 29th).
