Does your customers love Mother Nature? Well then they will surely love Naya Shoes!  Naya by itself means renewal in Hindu. What can shoes renew? Well Naya  stands to renew the body, spirit and the earth.

With such Eco-friendly shoes, you might wonder who is the brains and team behind them.  Well  Naya, is the first internal Brown Shoe brand and they have put together an awesome team that will certainly help this brand to continue to grow leaps and bounds!  Julia has been keeping up with the brand since before it even launched, so you can imagine how exciting for us to speak with designer,  Kasey Gibbs, Vice President/GM Patrick Hogan and PR/Marketing Jessica Nunez at the FFaNY show. This trio makes one awesome team and they were so wonderful to spend some quality time with us and really fill us in on what makes this brand so unique!

During our tour of Brown Shoes showroom, Naya  was our first stop and we were blown away. We started talking to Pat who gave us a brief little insight to his career and how he ended up spearheading the Naya brand. He has launched new business all his life, so of course after only one season since the launch Naya, they are beginning to pop up everywhere. They landed in stores in early February and since then they have been growing like crazy! It doesn’t hurt that they have been featured  on popular morning shows across the US, publications such as the NY Daily news, and many shoe blogs online.  Erin Conroy the PR manager for all of Browns brands (who was also our awesome tour guide) has been all over the country talking about Naya! It’s kept her very busy, but totally worth it!

Being a environmentally conscience  shoe, they of course had to celebrate Earth month in April, which they did by  partnering with Plant-it 2020 organization and for every pair sold on Brown’s, shoes.com website they would plant a tree. They planted 5’000 trees!!  Can you say WOW!!?! They are amazing.

Kasey spent  a lot of time designing and really working on making the shoes special  before launching. She made sure that Naya was not only eco-friendly, but also classy, stylish, feminine, unique and in a brief word: HOT!   Unlike other Eco-friendly shoes, Naya is lightweight and not “crunchy” with its bamboo heels and hemp/ cork grind bottoms and I have to add, they are very affordable for green shoes, between $125- $200 and the boots go up to $285 at retail and they will last a long long time.  Also as an added bonus, every box has a description of the specific materials used so that the customer will know exactly what was used to make their shoe. It’s a great touch!!

Naya’s team is very balanced. Kasey is the sweet, shy one, where Pat and Jessica are more outgoing and really love to talk about the brand!  Jessica is the PR person is very  fun, energetic and a little younger that her team members.  She brings  cool updated styles to the team and helps to keep them up to date on trends she sees in the market place as well as ones that she personally is excited about.  Pat on the other hand,  represents the brand in a directive way. He knows how Naya was created and has the vision of where it is going, having as faith: SUCCESS!  Pat was very detailed as we went through the line and he knows everything that has and will continue to push the brand to the next level. I can see the brand is in good hands!

Without a doubt, Naya will be all over the world as they are beautiful on the feet, soft on your steps, gentle on the environment and super fashionable.
