Aldo has yet another collaboration this time with Kohl’s. Kohl’s is expecting to drive sales in their footwear department with this exciting new collaboration. According to BNET, Aldo will guide the retailer’s shoe department to freshen it up and point it the right direction. This is a wonderful decision for both parties and I hope this is a great success.
There’s always a silver lining to any negative situation. According to Footwear News, footwear sales in June weren’t as good as expected however retailers are looking forward to back-to-school shopping where they predict boots, which are their hot fall item, will boost sales. Jeff Van Sinderen, an analyst at B. Riley & Co. says, “It’s a trend that has legs.” Things are getting better and back-to-school boot shopping will help boost the industry even more.

Professional snowboarder Shaun White is launching his lifestyle sneaker line at Target next week. It will be an expansion of his current Target clothing line and will be available in boys’ and mens’ sizes only. There’s a new trend in running sneakers called “barefoot shoes”. According to UPI.com, many Canadian runners prefer this glove-like footwear over traditional running sneakers. Fans of these “shoes” claims they come with less injury than sneakers. Check out the rest of the article here.
