Julia and I are on our way back from Las Vegas and I’m so excited to share my first FN Platform experience with everyone! As I walked along the white carpet and down what seemed like endless aisles I ran into countless new, cool, innovative, and exciting brands. Walking down one aisle I saw what looked like pieces of Jewelry which attracted me to the Pop Flops booth. This is where I met the woman behind the patent pending concept of interchanging “Pop Tops” on “Pop Flops” (which I am currently wearing). Melissa Risher came up with this great idea a few years ago and has been working non-stop to make it happen. The Swarovski crystal decorated tops can be easily changed (but don’t easily fall off) and are attached with magnets. The tops made it through airport security with me tossing my shoes in the bin and plopping them on the floor to put them back on. I have to say I was trying to be a little rough to see if they actually would fall and they didn’t! Not only do the tops stay on but the crystals are guaranteed to NEVER fall off! I think that amazing because every rhinestoned item I’ve ever had has become a little less sparkly over time because of some missing rhinestones.

When the idea first came about Melissa was attaching everything from rings to broaches to her flip flops to make the plain footwear more beautiful. Now after all her hard work she has her own line. Pop Flops come in four different colors brown, black, silver and oatmeal, two different heights, and each pair comes with one set of Pop Tops. After that, the possibilities are endless with so many different beautiful tops which are what I would describe as Jewelry for your feet. Other than how cute they are, the best part about the shoes is they are affordable and run from about $27 – $45 per pair and the ornaments are from $15 – $38. The line also offers a more blinged out shoe which is a little more costly at $125 but the straps are beautifully covered in Swarovski crystals!  And, on top of everything they come in children’s sizes also. They are available in high end boutiques and resorts all over the country. I hope they come to New Jersey soon so I can get some more Pop Tops!:)

Melissa is so excited and passionate about her line and want to inspire mothers (as she is one herself) everywhere make things happen for themselves. She said she was always seeing people come up with cool new things and she wanted to have her own idea that made people say, “Why didn’t I think of that?” Well, Melissa you did it.
