Wow! A big congrats to Diane Sullivan from Brown Shoe who was jsut promoted to take the spot of CEO beginning in May! It’s been an amazing couple of years for Diane and I know for a fact this promotion is well deserved! Current CEO, Ron Fromm will remain as an active chairman of the company. While I am sure there is much excitement around Diane’s promotion, I am sure Ron will be missed. I am a big fan of them both! :)

Let’s keep this up 2011! According to a recent report the retail industry will continue to make progress and hopefully we will have a great year! I am ready and I am sure all of you are too!!

Congrats to Puma who launched a new toning line called “BodyTrain” for Spring 2011. I thought we talked about this trend dieing down?? None the less, I am a fan of Puma and I wish them much success with the collection! :)

Skecher’s just announced that Wayne Gretzky will be their newest spokesperson for their Shape-Ups brand. Let’s hope the commercials are better than the ones they did with Dan Marino or was it Joe Montana?? Anyways…hopefully this will be a nice paycheck for Wayne! Who remembers the cartoon from the 80′s with him and Michael Jordan?? Ahh…the good ole 80′s cartoons…doesn’t get any better! :)
