Cool Booths
by JULIA

We definitely didn’t see the massive booths as from years past at any of the shows this year. The common theme as anyone would expect was to cut back and scale down. However, we still saw interesting, creative and very cool  booths. I thought I would mention a few. Of course, in typical Ed Hardy style, their booth was over the top with more shoes stuck to the outside of the structure than were on display on the inside.…

5 statements from Sheena at Matisse
by JULIA

Ally and I met Sheena in the lunch line our first day at WSA as a result of a shared love for a skirt… It seems the lunch line is where you meet some the coolest people! Sheena is responsible for Public Relations and Marketing for Matisse, and Coconuts by Matisse, based out of El Segundo, Ca. Sheena has a great sense of humor and down to earth view of the industry, which I really appreciate. We just can’t take ourselv…

Talking Green with Terrasoles
by JULIA

ZIGI NY
by JULIA

Everyone should have a sales rep like Breanne Joyce from Zigi New York. She was welcoming, energetic and was obviously passionate about Zigi product!   We weren’t able to take pics of the new line, but hopefully you will see for yourself at upcoming shows. If you are a buyer or retailer, I recommend you check them out! Great price points and great shoes.

I am a fan.    As Ally and I walked in to WSA yesterday Klub Nico was the first booth we saw. Before even real…

My Top Trend Predictions for WSA
by JULIA

As the countdown begins to the opening of the WSA doors, I can’t help to speculate what everyone will be talking about.  What are the buyers looking for?  What will be the new “it” shoe for Fall 09?   Here are my predictions for the styles everyone will be talking about: 1.  Tech Mesh:  So many athletic lines are partnering with cutting edge designers to develop a new athletic/couture style.  At…
