Good news for the UK with April showing and overall sales increase of 4.6% with footwear sales being one of the boosters to those numbers. Online sales increased to 12.5% from a year ago. They credit some of the increase to the great weather they had compared to April of last year, but either way…..this is good news! Good news for Steve Madden today! According to FN he boosted his earnings by 68% in the first quarter thanks to the success of Madden Girl and L.E.I. They recorded a total profit of $6.6 million.
